It's been a long time...

and it almost was a little longer because I realized I didn't have the Christmas pictures downloaded yet...so instead we'll show you some of the fun December pictures and hope I get Christmas done soon.  But based on my recent track record, I'm not promising anything. :)

We've enjoyed helping Grandpa feed the sheep and cows the past few months.  The kids like to ride up on top of the stack of hay.  This is Katelyn with one of her friends who came to help.

We had a gingerbread house decorating party with some of the wonderful friends we've made in Montpelier.  It was a fun night.

A picture from up on top of the ridge.  Our two "new-to-us" snowmobiles helped us to get up there about the clouds.  Josh must be at least a little like his dad because he always wants to ride the snowmobiles and he always wants to go faster.

Katelyn's school Christmas program.  They were a very cute group of 1st graders.

Skip about a month...

Josh and his friends having a picnic on the deck.  We love these friends!

Caleb showing off the soccer jersey Dad brought him from Mexico...and Dad's new hat. Love that boy!

An action shot from one of my soccer games...I did save that ball from going in the goal.

Yay!  love to see a sold sign in front of our house.

My boys playing at the park.

We're really going to miss all of our friends...love you ladies....and all of you not pictured here too!

Yay for spring...(I've never figured out the real way to spell yay..but I hope this works.)

Out for a walk...the kids had to try out their new rain boots.

Jimmy and his parents came for a visit.  He and Caleb had a great time playing side by side.

Easter week

Coloring eggs can be a lot of fun.

Look at all the fun colors.  The preponderance of yellow eggs can be attributed to Josh's new found favorite color.

Caleb and Dad chilling on the couch.  Handsome men!

Josh with bunny ears at an easter party.

Dad and Caleb

The egg wars...I lost right after this picture was taken.  We'll have to work some more on our hard boiling strategy.

Katelyn in her bunny ears.

Josh and his buddy Cambridge.

Easter morning showing off the new rain boots.

Katelyn in her Easter dress on  the way to church.

Loving the tulips.

I love this picture!

Katelyn's Birthday

Before the birthday pictures, here are some birds that have nested in our entry way.  We kind of like being nesting bird hosts.

Katelyn's birthday was in April and she turned 6.  She had a butterfly birthday.  All of the guests went through the life stages of the butterfly.  In this picture they are all caterpillars eating without hands.

Now they are in their cocoons.  Are you impressed that not one butterfly chose to emerge from their cocoon until after I took a picture?  I am.

Now they are all beautiful butterflies.

She's hard to see, but Katelyn is in the middle of the crowd opening her gifts.

The butterfly cake.  Yes, I made the butterflies and they could be eaten...but they wouldn't taste very good.

The new robe from Grandma Larsen was a big hit.

And so was the new bike.  She does pretty well on it now, but she is still not confident.  I guess that is what happens when you run into a mailbox one of the first times you are riding.

Disney World

Last time I tried to up load these pictures I got done with the post and as I was trying to post it the computer lost all my work. Therefore, this will be pretty much devoid of much beyond picture captions. But at the end of March we took a very fun trip to Disney World. Peter had a business trip there and we tagged along with him. It was so fun!

This is a picture of Josh surveying the scene at our hotel right after we arrived.

The next morning we took a boat over to start our trip with a character breakfast with Mickey Mouse.  There is our hotel in the background.

Mmm...waffles taste much better when they are in the shape of Mickey Mouse.

Josh was excited to see the characters, but when Stitch (from Lilo and Stitch) tried to get close, this was the reaction he got.

Katelyn was thrilled to get her picture taken with Mickey Mouse.

The obligatory picture in front of Cinderella's castle.  The leis from our breakfast were yellow, Josh's favorite color, and he slowly accumulated all of them so that you could barely see him underneath it all.

The remnants of a cold ice cream treat on a warm Florida afternoon.

Our princess with a pink castle.

And I just love this picture that Peter took.

Caleb and Mom on the bus going to Animal Kingdom.
Hmm, no more pictures from that day, they were all of the animals on the safari (boring if no one else is in the pictures) and the rest of the time was spent on roller coasters (Katelyn's favorite.)  Katelyn got to ride all of them twice because Mom and Dad each needed someone to go with them.

Watching the light parade on the water.  Cute girl.

The kids got mouse ears as their souvenir from the park.

This is a picture from the end of our last day, and it's out of order, but I'm not going to fix it now.  Looks like everyone had all the fun they could handle.

We watched the fireworks from the pier outside our hotel.  They were beautiful.

and when we got home, this sign was up in front of our house.  Anyone want to buy a home in Muncie, IN?

We met Daisy Duck.  She seemed to be one of the most important to find this time (Mickey and Minnie were easy to find.)

And of course we visited all the princesses.  Katelyn chatted with them all.

Cinderella was the only one Josh would talk to.  He gave her a big hug.  The other princesses got his scowly face and a firm refusal no matter how they tried to coax him.  :)
We sure had a good time and the kids are already talking about what they are going to do next time they go.   Hmmm.... :)
